After using the Presstopia blogging tools for a while I've decided to give CommunityServer a try. CS really is overkill. It's more designed to run a community needing forums, blogs and membership but as I'm planning on using the full blown creature on a client project it gives me a chance to play around and get a feel for it.

It seems to support better moderation / comment spam control and tags (which I've come to view as a must - I just hope they're as much use as I think they'll be)

Some things don't seem as simple as I'd expected them to be - adding an image to a post for instance seems to be a bit complex and applying styles to that image (the intention with this post was to have the CS logo floating to the right of the text) seems to be an issue. WYSIWYG editing is nice but for all the promises of Ajax it's not quite there yet...

Now I just have to decide if it's worth migrating all the old posts into here, or if it's okay to just leave a legacy site going!

<update>Okay, I found out how to float the image to the right... added the class to the these css and referenced it, and all was good.</update>
